Tovertafel Has Arrived!

The Tovertafel has arrived and has already been enjoyed by several Alfred Egan Home residents! The device is mounted on a moveable stand so can easily be move to different areas of Bow Island Health Centre for residents to enjoy. The only other requirement is a table to project the images on that is accessible to the residents whether standing or sitting in a chair or wheelchair! There are many different scenarios that the residents can actively participate in - from setting the table for a meal to gardening (shown here) or even to catch puppies!

Special thanks are extended to Amanda Kusters who researched the equipment, arranged for an in-house demonstration for residents, staff, and Health Foundation members prior to purchase, and demonstrated its use before assuming her new position with Alberta Health Services in the north zone.
